Experience the romantic city of Dubrovnic
Potter around the centuries-old limestone streets, taking in castles, bridges and statues, then have dinner as the sun is setting overlooking Dubrovnic’s stunning harbour on the Adriatic.
Dubrovnic is a UNESCO World Heritage site so if you enjoy historic building and culture, this city is a must-see. There is evidence of a city here since the 7th century and many of its buildings are hundreds of years old. The imposing Pile City Gate dates from the 15th century.
If you’re looking for unique nightlife, make sure you stop off at Revlin, a nightclub set in a 15th Century fortress that includes a terrace with a view out to the sea.
If you want to be awed by nature, head to the stunning Pitvice lakes. This is a collection of no fewer than 16 lakes, all connected to each other by captivating waterfalls.
Pitvice lakes are set in a forest rich with wildlife. The local inhabitants include deer, rare birds, bears, and even wolves!
Guided tours are available for groups if you want to make the most of your stay.
“Game of Thrones” fans will recognise this as the setting for the gardens in Kings Landing. The Arboreum features a wide range of plants, trees and water features, and dates from the 15th century. The Arboreum is proud to host two Oriental Plane trees that are over 500 years old!
The Adriatic Sea
The beautiful blue Adriatic sea borders Croatia and is a centre for all sorts of activities. Dive to see starfish, sail to one of Croatia’s more than 1000 islands or, if you’re feeling daring, you can even give cliff diving a go!
The Edivo winery also makes use of the Adriatic with its incredible underwater cellars. You’ll need a wetsuit to visit!
