Discover Croatia πŸ‡πŸ‡·

A small and beautiful country in Eastern Europe, Croatia is a great choice for your next holiday. Whether you like bustling cities, festivals, or peace and quiet in nature, Croatia is ideal if you want a varied trip to suit your whole family.

Experience the romantic city of Dubrovnic

Potter around the centuries-old limestone streets, taking in castles, bridges and statues, then have dinner as the sun is setting overlooking Dubrovnic’s stunning harbour on the Adriatic.

Dubrovnic is a UNESCO World Heritage site so if you enjoy historic building and culture, this city is a must-see. There is evidence of a city here since the 7th century and many of its buildings are hundreds of years old. The imposing Pile City Gate dates from the 15th century.

If you’re looking for unique nightlife, make sure you stop off at Revlin, a nightclub set in a 15th Century fortress that includes a terrace with a view out to the sea.

Pitvice Lakes

If you want to be awed by nature, head to the stunning Pitvice lakes. This is a collection of no fewer than 16 lakes, all connected to each other by captivating waterfalls.

Pitvice lakes are set in a forest rich with wildlife. The local inhabitants include deer, rare birds, bears, and even wolves!

Guided tours are available for groups if you want to make the most of your stay.

Trestreno Arboreum

“Game of Thrones” fans will recognise this as the setting for the gardens in Kings Landing. The Arboreum features a wide range of plants, trees and water features, and dates from the 15th century. The Arboreum is proud to host two Oriental Plane trees that are over 500 years old!

The Adriatic Sea

The beautiful blue Adriatic sea borders Croatia and is a centre for all sorts of activities. Dive to see starfish, sail to one of Croatia’s more than 1000 islands or, if you’re feeling daring, you can even give cliff diving a go!

The Edivo winery also makes use of the Adriatic with its incredible underwater cellars. You’ll need a wetsuit to visit!

Croatia is an exciting destination for music lovers. It plays host to many festivals throughout the year. Highlights for 2019 include the INmusic festival, Croatia’s largest open air festival. The lineup for this year includes The Cure, Foals and Garbage. The massively popular electronic music festival Ultra Europe in Split has attracted 150,000 festival goers in previous years with names such as The Chemical Brothers and David Guetta performing. If you are looking for something a bit different then Obonjan, a festival on an eco friendly island might be for you. Along with the music there are wellness talks and workshops.
